Dental implants: for a beautiful smile

Dental implants are used to permanently replace one or more missing teeth. An implant is made of titanium and replaces the root of a tooth in the bone. Titanium is biocompatible and fuses to the bone after a few months. The complete healing period varies, but it is generally less than six months. A crown or bridge can then be placed or a denture affixed on the implant.

Why use implants?

  • To permanently restore your smile
  • To prevent bone loss
  • To improve your diction and chewing
  • To prevent adjacent teeth from shifting
  • To prevent premature wear to your remaining natural teeth
  • To preserve the appearance of your face (sagging features, increased lines, protruding chin, etc.)

As you can see, the loss of one or more teeth no longer systematically requires dentures to be worn. Thanks to implants, patients can now get their old smile back in no time at all with a maximum of comfort.
